Anyone can forecast A-Rod hitting .320 with 58 homers and 150 RBIs, but try going out on a limb and saying that Melky Cabrera will bash 40 homers. That may sound absurd, but Dean Chiungos, Alex Cushing, Gregg Klayman, Tim Ott and Scott Norwood have come up with some extreme predictions for '08. ... Chiungos: Ryan Braun will belt 55-plus homers; Cushing: Conor Jackson will win the NL batting crown; Klayman: Michael Bourn will steal 100 or more bases; Ott: Ryan Howard will strike out at least 240 times; Norwood: Chipper Jones will bat .375 or better.
